Curriculum Connections with Mystery SkypeStudent collaboration is an important aspect of learning as students acquire skills in social learning. “We cannot provide robust, engaged, and differentiated learning unless kids can break into a variety of groups and work together. Learning is far too weak if we limit students’ actions, conversations, and thinking to what the one adult in the room can monitor.” Harvey and Daniels, (2009, p. 37) Please read more on the Saskatchewan School Library Association Collaboration and Inquiry page.
By participating in Mystery Skype, students are able to work collaboratively in a fun competition as they try to critically think and create questions to problem solve the location of the other classroom. Students have the opportunity to work on individual roles with various digital tools to find the answer.
